Welcome to Beta Iota, the Alpha Omaga International Dental Fraternity chapter at the University of Colorado School of Dentistry!

We strive to enrich the dental student experience through Education, Service, and Fraternity. We recruit members from all 4 years, as well as from the school’s international program. The chapter has grown from just 3 members a few years ago to 65 members this year. Thanks to tremendous alumni support, active faculty AO members, dedicated student leaders, and quality service/learning opportunities our chapter attracts members from all walks of student life. Please enjoy the site and feel free to contact us with questions or comments.

AO Student Leadership Conference
Boston, MA
Report by Faiza Talybova

Representatives of 10 dental schools throughout United States and Canada gathered for the weekend in Boston to give back and learn from one another during their presentations on the dynamics of their own chapters. Each school got an opportunity to share information on their traditions, as well as their strategies for recruitment, fundraising, social bonding, and enhancing the relationship with their rescpecive Alumni chapters. The second part of the conference included an informative presentation from the Henry Schein, Inc. consultant group from Boston. The speakers detailed the latest trends within the dental profession. They also shared some expert advice on what to look for and what to avoid when choosing to either open our own practice, become an associate, or take other paths.

During free time, the students enjoyed exploring downtown Boston and its various tourist sites. Even the rain didn’t dampen enthusiasm to see this beautiful city. On the morning of the last day, everyone got together for breakfast at the Cheesecake Factory before heading off either to the airport or for some more sightseeing. Overall, it has been a truly wonderful and fun opportunity to get to know and learn from our fellow AO fraters from all over the United States and Canada. Note: Faiza's trip was generously funded by the AO Denver Alumni Chapter.
